I have a large yard, that I have been working for 2 yrs. now. It’s ready for some flowers. 5 flower beds in the back yard. 3 in the front yard. 1 of the 3 in the front will be full sun all day. I love color. And i really want to cover the beds with flowers, so I don’t have so many weeds to work. Also, on one side, I have mostly shade, with sun coming in threw the trees. Any wisdom out there for me?
southern, east coast. I think zone 6 to 8.

I live on a street that runs east and west, so the sun hits my yard all day. I still would like to plant flowers, but I am afraid that too much sun will hurt them. What kind of flowers can I plant that will thrive in all of that sunlight?

I have a very pretty curving creek that runs through my front yard. I want to plant flowers and plants on both sides. Preferrably the kind that come back year after yaer. It is mostly shade, but does get some sun. Any ideas? My creek is only about 2 feet wide, but it is very long…50 feet!

I live in an area where the temperatures reach about 115 degrees in the summer. I want to start a garden with a mix of flowers, but I don’t want to start planting and have everything die because it’s so hot. What would be some good plants/flowers for me to start out with?
