I have a daughter, 11 years on Valentine's came home from school in abject poverty, because she had been teased for being the only girl in the six years I have not had a boyfriend. The school had actively allowed expensive gifts, delivered to the school office of bunches of flowers, etc etc for 10 and 11 years of age. Just to clarify the comment was from another mother. My two boys are men and they did enjoy their childhood, I have said many times that.

I have heard something on TV yesterday. I think it's horrible, but I think a lot to do with advertising, children's magazines, and parents. the person who said he "grew up" in 10, then all I can say is that I liked play with my Sindy doll when I was 12 or 13. we were much more naive in those days, but are better for him today. 9 years my old granddaughter came to my house last week and told me I had a boyfriend and she was going to go out and play with him after tea. I told him it was not a boyfriend, but a friend who is a child. indeed he was insulted and insisted that it was a boyfriend. They are listening to all this in school, and are not "with it" if you do not have a boyfriend. My daughter found a text on your phone (which she only gets when she is out for security reasons) the boy saying that he loved her and she had responded again, I love you too. i despair, really! I played with boys when I was your age, but it was just all friends, which is all you are doing, they go out to play and then meet friends or sit in your room listening to cd's. Only what is done with her girlfriends. I'd hate be a child today

I am sending a girl flowers for Valentines day. We are not dating, but she is one I want to date though. She knows I like her, I think she likes me. Where I work, I get a good discount on flowers. I get 2 dozen roses for the same as delivering 1 dozen roses everywhere else. Is that too many to send, because 1 dozen rose arrangements seem too small. I dont mind spending the money, I just dont want a crappy delivery. So is that too many or no?
