And check with your local florist as well, and they will give you good ideas in your price range. You can give them a price point and if you want, an idea of certain flowers and colors and they will take it from there.

There are no rules for this. You’ll see all sorts of flowers at funerals. Most folks just call the florist, tell them how much they want to spend and whether they want to send an arrangement or a potted plant, and the florist takes care of everything else.
