We can’t have petals because the beach where we are getting married won’t allow flowers (live or fake) on the beach. What is a cute alternative for the flower girl to throw/lay down?

See if you can find some little light weight sea shells it will go great with the whole beach theme.

You could have her ring a bell, I had this at my wedding.

I am getting married on the beach next year and i have chosen to eliminate all flowers. instead my bridesmaids will be carrying a parasol umbrella and my flower girl will be carrying one like mine, a white lace one. they also have the flower ball for the flower girls to carry. they look very nice and they don’t have to throw them.

I would check with the authorities at the beach, if they wont let you throw flowers fake or real, I doubt they will let you throw or lay down anything.

She could swing a flower ball that wouldn’t actually release any petals, or even a small lantern with one of those fake candles in it. (luminary lights I think they are called)

Good luck.

What about feathers…..since it is a beach the feather would look like they came from a bird…

Well I personally am having a fall wedding and using fake colorful leaves to throw down because I think it will look awesome on a white runner. Of course that wouldnt really go with your theme, so I would suggest some seashells, maybe some little bows (white or whatever your wedding color may be) or even just rice. Its traditional and cute. Good luck :)

Love the sea shells idea. Also what about crystal beads? If the beach allows she can throw beads in the color of your theme.

Totally weird, but you could throw popcorn. It may not go with your theme but I figure maybe the beach authorities wouldn’t mind if you threw food since it ends up there anyway.

I know it might not work, but just a suggestion.

I really like the other persons idea of really small shells. That would be beautiful.

What about bubbles?? Fits the whimsical vibe of a beach wedding.

she could release butterflies as she walk down the isle. you could even try to get them in the color of your wedding theme, or just white would be lovely.

there are many other sites to look into. Congrats and best wishes!!

Blow bubbles…that way you aren’t polluting anything by throwing anything on the ground. Plus bubbles make it seem more whimsical.

I do agree with other posters, the small shells would be great too!

My flower girls are carrying wands with crystral beads, pine, and berries attached (Christmas wedding). Your wands could have star fish, sand dollars and sea shells attached.

Good luck!

Will they allow confetti? That would look similiar. Or you could have her roll out an aisle runner
The seashells are a nice themed idea, but wouldn’t that hurt your feet if you stepped on one?

I agree with a couple of previous posters: have the flower girl blow bubbles; it will look so cute and make for some unforgettable pictures.
